Carnival was swinging in nearby Notting Hill but we decided to head north for a less riotous bite to eat. We’ve been waiting to see what the new restaurant opposite Kensal Rise station on Chamberlayne Road would be and Austen’s was open for business so we stepped inside. It’s the brainchild of DJ Yoda, who curates the playlist and owns the place. It’s a cool relaxed space, good service and a great tagline ‘We Smoke Everyday’. Highly recommended for meat lovers and people who appreciate a Giant Bison. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
